Simple Pleasures Papercrafting Retreat

Today I have the pleasure of spending time with my Close To My Heart sister consultants in Pennsylvania at the Simple Pleasures Papercrafting group retreat.  I can't begin to explain what an amazing time this event is.  Here are a few little projects that we are making with the Brushed paper pack today.  I created these little 3x3 cards and each lady made them.  I learned a lot too.  We have had a fabulous lesson in ShinHan markers, created She Art, made a mini album with Picture My Life cards, created scrapbook layouts and so much more.  I feel like I have met an amazing group of ladies that will now be my lifelong friends.

CTMH This Moment and Brushed Paper Pack

I can't get enough of the January Stamp of the Month from CTMH, This Moment.  "LOVE notes" was stamped from that set.  I decided to use the CTMH Brushed paper pack too.  I ran that beautiful Pixie Pink and Candy patterned cardstock through my Cuttlebug with my CTMH Heart Embossing Folder.  The little paper flowers were cut using my CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge, layered and embellished with a Gold Glitter Gem.  I love the way the card turned out, it is so soft and sweet looking.  It isn't too late to get your own This Moment stamp set.  It can be yours for only $5 until the end of the month with a qualifying purchase.  Click here to begin shopping with me.

CTMH Heartstrings Layout featuring CTMH This Moment

It is a dreary day here, and I have been working on my class kits for this Saturday's crop all day.  I thought that I would take a break and share a layout that I just completed featuring the January Stamp of the month from CTMH called This Moment and this really fun CTMH Heartstrings paper pack.  I drew my inspiration for this layout from a Pinterest post from "twoscrapbookfriends".  I thought it would be fun to recreate it with CTMH products, including our exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridges.  I added some Black Glitter Paper for the little heart and the "Smitten" title.  Most of my images were also stamped in Black for that unexpected contrast that might surprise you with this very romantic paper.  And did you notice the sweet embellishments?  They include Stuck On You Puffies and Pixie Extra Thick Twine to name a few.  I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do!

CTMH Snowhaven Cards for the Joyful Stars Blog Hop January 2015

Welcome to the January Joyful Stars Blog Hop!  If you found your way here from Crystal's blog, you are on the right track.

I am so glad that you decided to stop by and see what I have been working on.  This month's entries all feature the vibrant CTMH Snowhaven paper pack.

This first card is made from one of our CTMH White Daisy Spin Cards.  I stamped the sayings, trees and snowflakes using the stampset from the CTMH Snowhaven Cardmaking Workshop On the Go.  The cute little Red Enamel Hearts came in that kit too, but can be purchased separately as well.  The snowflake elements on the spinner and the scalloped frame were cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, an oldie but goodie!
Next up is this stunning glacier and black floral card.  The floral overlay was cut using the CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge.  Some of our Gold Bling Gems and Black Striped Twill Ribbon complete this simple, yet impactful card.
The last little 3"x3" card was so fun to make.  I cut a 1.5"x3" strip off of the front my card.  It was this piece that I then turned sideways and attached the sentiment to.  That sentiment was stamped using one of my favorite stamp sets, Lovely Birthday.   That adorable little flower was also stamped from the same set using two different scraps of paper.  I pop dotted the layers and added a little Clear Sparkle.  Again, very easy and I love it.

Well that is it for this month's Joyful Stars Blog Hop.  Feel free to follow my blog if you want to keep up with all my crafty adventures.  Next on the hop is my very good friend, the talented Lori "Crafty Meadows".  Have fun hopping!

CTMH Year Noted + CTMH This Moment = Cards!

I managed to squeeze in a little more creative time after completing my last layout.  Remember that CTMH Year Noted paper pack and CTMH This Moment January Stamp of the Month?  Well, I had plenty of paper left over and I decided to create these 3 cards. A little strip of Gold Glitter paper punched with our Scallop Border Punch and a little Gold Polka Dot Washi Tape add the little bit of bling to make these cards pop.  The cute little hearts were cut using the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I hope you like them!  I did have to add the 3 white card bases, but I still have cardstock left over to make something else with.
So stay tuned.

Layout Featuring CTMH January 2015 Specials

It is the beginning of 2015, and I am hoping to be a better blogger this year!  So I thought I would start you off with a project featuring 2 of this month's CTMH specials.

The "Year Noted" Kit features 6 - 12" x 12" pieces of cardstock, a ton of gold metal stickers and a stamp set all for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.  (You can add a My Creations Kraft Mini Album for just $5 more.)

I also used this adorable CTMH This Moment stamp set.  It too is just $5 in January with a qualifying purchase.

To create the layout I started by cutting apart one of my 12"x12" sheets to create the individual patterned pieces that are all approximately 4"x6".  I used the zip strips that are attached to the tops of all CTMH patterned cardstock as my accents.  I felt the kit needed an element to match those great metallic hearts that you see above, so I pulled out one of my favorite things from CTMH, our Glitter Paper.  I used the gold sheet from our brown assortment and cut out the "Capture the Details" title with our CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I also cut strips and edged them with our Scalloped Border Punch.  The cute little heart overlay was also cut from my Artbooking.
