CTMH Grateful Heart Gather at the Pumpkin Patch Layout

Welcome to my post for the last of my CTMH Grateful Heart layouts.  This layout is another of my favorites.  It grew out of the pumpkins from both the Grateful Heart Complements and from the pumpkin Picture My Life card from the Grateful Heart paper pack.
I knew I wanted it to be a curly mess of vines, and I wanted it to have tall, skinny pumpkins as well as shorter, chubby pumpkins.  All pumpkins can't be the same size, right, or the patch would be a boring place!  I loved the pumpkin on the CTMH You Are Here Cricut Cartridge, but it only came in one size.  To fix this issue, I unlocked the proportions of the image in Cricut Design Space and created the pumpkin of my dreams.
The vines were cuts from our CTMH Flower Market Cricut cartridge.  I love how you can play with all of the CTMH Cricut cartridges at once in CDS.
My next design road block came in the form of which papers would work for the pumpkins.  I wanted variety.  I decided not to go with solid cardstock, and instead went with three of the patterned cardstocks in the Grateful Heart paper pack.  I manipulated their colors by dabbing with some of our soon to be retired, small pigment ink pads.  I also added a little gold shimmer with the help of our Shimmer Brush-Gold.
"Patch" from the title was cut from Gold Glitter Paper using the Block Alphabet Thin Cuts.  The little words "at the" were stamped using the cute little Modern Type Alphabet stamp set.The wooden looking hearts are also from the Grateful Heart Complements, and I added some little cork leaves, which are from the Grateful Heart Cork Shapes.

All of the new products will be available on September 1, 2018, at which time I will update the links.

Finally, let me share with you the Cricut Design Space file for this layout.  Here is the link:

CTMH For the Love of Crafting Gift Tag

This morning I decided to start planning for one of my upcoming scrapbooks retreat.  My November event is going to be themed after our CTMH Convention "Create".

I want to give each attendee a little stamp set that they can use to create with, and I wanted it to look cute.

I pulled out my August Stamp of the Month, For the Love of Crafting, and made some little tags to top my bag.  I love that there is a coordinating CTMH Cricut cut on our You Are Here cartridge. This stamp set is only available during August 2018, and then it is gone forever!

Be sure to grab yours today for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

Postcard Perfect Amazing Family Vacation Layout

I got the urge to play with paper last night.  I pulled out the pieces of my Postcard Perfect cardstock that were left after a big project (which I have not yet shared) and got to work.  I was inspired by a layout that I had seen on Pinterest, of course, and decided it would be perfect to use as a pattern for my layout.  I already know that I am going to use a picture of our family from a visit two summers ago.  I am so not a chronological scrapbooker, and that is ok to admit, right?  Scrapbooking should be enjoyable, so I refuse to feel pressure to complete a given year's worth of scrapbooking.
The layout began with a base sheet of small polka dotted cardstock.  I layered a sheet of that pretty white polka dotted velum, cut at 11 1/2" square.  Next up was a 10" square of palm tree cardstock.  A few banner strips of all different widths and lengths using scraps still in my Postcard Perfect paper pack, some zip strips running horizontally at the top, and a bunch of Starfish cut from a CTMH You Are Here Cricut Cartridge and out of Gold Glitter Paper.
Here is a close up of the starfish and star banner.  The stars were cut using Thin Cuts - Basic Stars, and I embossed them with a retired CTMH embossing folder for some extra texture and interest.  Do you see those little bitty stars?  They are the centers of the starfish that were left behind on my Cricut mat!  Lastly, the title was actually meant to be one big stamp from the Postcard Perfect Stamp Set.  My talented friend Alison Bawdy showed me some multicolored images that she had stamped and I wanted to try my own hand at that.  Well, it did not work so well for me!  So, I did the unthinkable...I CUT my stamp into three pieces!!!  It took a lot of guts to do it, but it allowed me to stamp three different colors in the title.  I love the way it turned out.  Thanks Alison!

CTMH You Are Here France Layout for the Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to GIRLplusPAPER and my entry for the August 2017 Joyful Stars blog hop.  If you have arrived here by way of Betty's blog, you are on the right track.

Today, I would like to show you another project that I created with the help of the brand new CTMH You Are Here Cricut cartridge, as well as CTMH's Flower Market cartridge.  I decided to print out some photos of my oldest daughter, Katie and I, at EPCOT's France.  We visited during the Flower and Garden show, and we were there to support my younger daughter during her FBLA competition.  While Bella was at one of her programs, we had a little time to explore the French pavillion on our own.  Anyway, I thought the You Are Here cut of the Eiffel Tower and the Girls Getaway sentiment were the perfect for match for my photos.  The layout wasn't really complete for me until it was embellished with lots of flowers from the Flower Market cartridge.

The layout bases are made from White Daisy cardstock, the floral paper is from the Adventure Fundamental Paper Packet and the blue patterned cardstock at the bottom is from the Whimsy Fundamental Paper Packet. You may also notice big photo mats of Bashful cardstock, as well as smaller mats of Raspberry cardstock.  These pieces were given to us as part of a layout kit at CTMH Convention that I did not make because I might have been too busy socializing!

You might also notice the gorgeous Bashful Glitter Paper that I used for the word "Getaway" and the little crown.  It is beautiful!  And CTMH now offers Bashful Pearls, so of course I had to make them the center of my flowers and spread some out around the layout.

Feel free to pin my photos on Pinterest, and become a follower of my blog so that you don't miss a single project.

Next up on the hop is our very own talented NJStampingQueen, Marie.  Thanks for stopping by!

You are Here CTMH Cricut Cartridge for the Scattered Hearts Blog Hop

Welcome to the Scattered Hearts You Are Here CTMH Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop!

If you have arrived here from Heather's blog, you are on the right track.

I just returned from a quick day trip down the shore.  Yep, that is what we call it here in NJ, down the shore.  It is actually south of where I live so I guess it is kind of accurate.  Both of my oldest girls had off from their jobs at the resort for the first time all summer, so I packed the four of them up and headed to Sandy Hook.  There was quite a rip current that day, but the weather was perfect for playing on the beach and swimming if you didn't mind working a little!

I wanted to create a layout that featured the adorable seashore themed cuts out of our brand spanking new CTMH You Are Here Cricut cartridge, and of course, I wanted it to work for scrapbooking my own trip with the four kiddos.  The seashells, sand castle, waves and frames were the perfect shapes for our beach trip.  We don't have many palm trees or tropical flowers here on our beaches!!!
Oh, and that adorable little banner saying, "EAT. BEACH. SLEEP. REPEAT." just worked out perfectly too, and is also a cut from You are Here.

Although the photo of my layout in the entirety appears to have a black color for the frames and page outline, it is actually Sapphire cardstock.  It is an awful, rainy day here, and photographing is quite difficult.  I will try to update the photo asap!  The closer up photos are more true to color.

Here is a list of the supplies that I used.

I love how easily the CTMH Gold Glitter Paper cuts on my Cricut Explore machine.  I do keep one blade that is designated for cutting only glitter paper.

Thank you for stopping by to visit me on the Scattered Hearts CTMH Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop.  I hope that you are leaving here inspired!  Please hop along to the fabulous Tina Sutton at Miss Gingerdots to see what she has created for you!
