Heart Happy Scrapbook Layouts

Heart Happy Scrapbook Layouts that will make your heart VERY happy!  You might have caught a glimpse of the four scrapbook layouts that I created with my Heart Happy bundle from Close To My Heart.

Today I wanted to share those pages in full.

So, without further delay, here are my four layouts in all of their glory!  No little glimpses, because I wanted you to see all of the easy these would be to complete with all of their straight lines.

To create my Heart Happy Scrapbook Layouts, I used the Heart Happy Bundle without the stamp set, 2 additional White Daisy sheets of cardstock and some Foam Tape.  That's all of the consumable supplies.  Easy.  You will also need a paper trimmer and Non-Stick Micro-Tip Scissors to fussy cut the flowers in the page directly above this paragraph.

Heart Happy Gal Pals Forever Shaker Card

Instead of cleaning up where my paper crafting bomb seems to have exploded, I decided to make it worse today!  Yes, I should have been organizing and putting away my supplies.  I had picked up my Heart Happy leftovers to to just that, but got side tracked by a few of the sticker embellishments left after making my four Heart Happy layouts.

Using my Basic Hearts Thin Cuts, my Stitched Hearts Thin Cuts, a piece of a Flip Flap and some Gold Loose Sequins, I set to work making my very own shaker element.  I used two of the hearts, concentrically  to make the paper overlay for the outside of my shaker window.  The sky is the limit with shaker cards, really.  Did you know that you can even die cut a piece of a Flip Flap instead of using acetate to make the perfect clear layer for your shaker card?

After adding my heart lollipop sticker to the edge of the shaker, I embellished with some loops of Gold Sequin Ribbon, and a bow of White and Gold Skinny Ribbon. My stamp set was nowhere to be found, so I went with a sticker sentiment. A few teensy scraps of Heart Happy paper here and there, and even a little heart cut from the Stitched Hearts Thin Cuts gave the card just the right touch of clutter that I was going for!

Feels Like Home And Budding Peony Card

Welcome to GIRLplusPAPER and my entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge number 507.

These challenges can really jumpstart your creativity if you need a little push.

Today I am sharing a card made with Close To My Heart’s Feels Like Home paper paired with the Budding Peony Stamp and Thin Cuts set.

You might also notice that I used Close To My Heart's Stitched Rectangular Frames Thin Cuts to create the bottom two layers of my card.  I then drew in my stitches using a LePen.

After stamping the peony with Intense Black Ink, I used my favorite Watercolor Pencils along with my handy dandy Clear Shimmer Brush to shade my flower and leaves.  Look carefully and you might see that the peony sits upon two Thin Cut Circles, one from the Stitched Circles Thin Cuts, and another from the Basic Circles Thing Cut set.  And that little piece of Sugarplum Glitter paper...that was made with our Decorative Borders Thin Cuts!

To embellish my card even more, I glued down some tiny sequins from my Silver Loose Sequins pack, and added some Silver Embellishing Thread.

Heart Happy Layouts and Workshop Cutting Guide

Heart & Home Cards

Welcome to GIRLplusPAPER, and my entry for the January, 2019, Joyful Stars Blog Hop.  If you have arrived here from Joyce's blog, Joyful Creations, you are on the right path!

For my post this month, I would like to share a set of three cards made with one of my favorite new stamp sets out of our Seasonal Expression 1 Idea Book.  It is called Heart and Home.  I have paired it with patterned cardstock from the Feels Like Home paper suite.  The images were colored using our ShinHan markers.  These cards might just have de-throned my Bushel and a Peck card set in my heart.  Yikes!  Did I just say that???

I added some greenery and a little flower, all cut from  the Decorative Borders Thin Cuts.  A little bling was also required, so I found the tiniest of sequins from my Loose Silver Sequins and adhered them to some of the flowers.  The Light Gray Ribbon added the perfect little bow, don't you think?

Something Fierce Cards

Something Fierce, one of the newest paper suites in Close To My Heart's Spring of 2019 lineup.  It's more than just dinosaurs, and I wanted to prove that to you!

I had left over flowers after making my National Papercrafting Month Magnolia Frame Kit.  So, what to do with them, right?  Well, I was sitting at my CTMH Seasonal Expression Product Launch back in December, and had just been given some Something Fierce paper, so I came up with some really quick cards.  And since I was playing with a January special and January featured paper pack, I also went with the January Stamp of the Month from CTMH, Card Captions.  I love that Card Captions is only $5 this month with a qualifying purchase.

And so, these three cards came to be.  I presented them, along with my Magnolia Frame, to all of the other CTMH Consultants in attendance.  It was so much fun!

Season of Joy Holiday House

Hello there, and Happy New Year!

I have been waiting for this day, because it is the day that I am free to show you my Holiday House.  It was made using my Season of Joy Cricut digital collection.  It was an exclusive Close To My Heart digital cartridge that has since sold out, so I hope that you got yours!

Anyway, I started with two of the 3D houses on the cartridge and married them together to get this shorter, stouter, more embellished house.  I used cardstock from the Tis the Season paper suite, along with some Gold and White Glitter Cardstock and some Vellum too.

I should also mention that the little greenery boughs and gold flowers were cut from my Decorative Border Thin Cuts.

The Cricut Design Space file is going to be given to my girls that joined my Exclusive Season of Joy Project Group.  (For more information, please click here to view the related blog post.)
