Simple Stories Enchanted with Close To My Heart Touches

It has taken me forever to get this blog entry up!!!  Not because the project took me a long time to complete, but rather because I am obviously unskilled with the entire video process.

As I mentioned in the video, I love my Close To My Heart products, but Disney is at the very top of my loves, after my family of course!  The Simple Stories Enchanted paper line, along with some of my Close To My Heart favorites worked flawlessly together to create this amazing layout of our visit with The Princess and The Frog.

Here are some still photos to help you see some of my elements more clearly.

I hope you have enjoyed my project featuring the Simple Stories Enchanted line of products combined with Close To My Heart favorites.  You may find out more information about the CTMH products, or even purchase them, by clicking the following links.

Taste of Summer CTMH National Scrapbooking Month 2015 Special

In celebration of National Scrapbooking Month, CTMH just released a "fruity" paper pack and coordinating stamp set called Taste of Summer.  It is a breath of fresh air and makes me dream of those long Summer days that will soon be here.  The Taste of Summer paper packet includes 12 beautifully designed sheets of 12" x 12" cardstock in 6 designs for only $8.95.  The coordinating Taste of Summer stamp set is available for $17.95 for the month of May.

I have created 4 gorgeous 2 paged layouts using the Taste of Summer paper packet, stamp set, the CTMH Art Philosophy, Artiste and Artbooking cartridges, along with 10 sheets of White Daisy cardstock.  The layouts are embellished with a sprinkle of CTMH sequins and bling.

Would you like to create all 8 pages?

Place any order of $25 or more in products on my website and I will send you a high quality PDF containing full color photos, helpful hints and cutting guides, as well as a link to my Cricut Design Space files to cut all of the necessary Cricut elements so that you may recreate your own layouts.  Might I suggest purchasing the paper packet and stamp set for a total of $26.90 in products?

******You must have all 3 of the CTMH Cricut cartridges (listed above) in your own Cricut Design Space account in order to cut on your Cricut Explore.******

This is the perfect option for CTMH consultants that would like to create a workshop using the CTMH Taste of Summer products with their own customers, yet find themselves short on time.  Every cut has been figured out for you!

CTMH Choose Happy for the Joyful Stars Blog Hop March 2015

Welcome to my entry for the Joyful Stars blog hop for March.  If you came here by way of Lori's blog, you are on the right track.

I wanted to use the CTMH Stamp of the Month, Choose Happy.  I started with a White Daisy card base, and added some of our gorgeous CTMH Fundamentals Paper.  It is double sided and features a shiny embossed side as well as a complimentary side featuring a white pattern.  I used both sides to create my card.  A small length of White Shimmer Trim to join the two halves of my card.  I stamped an image with the Choose Happy stamp set and colored it with my ShinHan Touch Twin markers, and fussy cut it out.  I attached it with pop dots.  For the final touch, I colored the same frame from the stamp set, cut out the middle, and rolled it up into a flower.  A few Silver Sequins, and the card was finished.  I hope you like it.

Next up on the hop is the very talented Helen.  Thank you for stopping by, and don't forget to stop back next month!  (Or sooner lol!!!)

CTMH Heartstrings Card for the Joyful Stars February 2015 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars blog hop for February 2015!  If you have arrived here from the very talented Crystal Davis' blog, you are on the right path.  I am going to start by apologizing for the poor lighting in the photos.  It was another icy day here in NJ, and there wasn't a lot of natural light.

I decided to create a Valentine's card using the CTMH Heartstrings paper pack.  I simply layered black cardstock, some Heartstrings printed cardstock, and some White Daisy cardstock embossed with our new CTMH Heart Embossing Folder.  I cut out the tree using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge and some more of the Heartstrings patterned cardstock.  It might be our first cartridge, but it never gets old!  A couple of our brand spanking new Stuck on You Puffies, I drew on the little strings with our CTMH journaling pen, and it was a wrap.

Next stop on the blog hop is my very good friend, Lori Meadows.  Enjoy the rest of the hop.  Before leaving, feel free to pin my projects to Pinterest, or follow my blog so that you don't miss out on my upcoming projects.  Thank you for stopping by!

CTMH A Happy Hello and Snowhaven Card - Mojo Monday 384 Challenge

It is Monday here in NJ, and that means it must be a snow day yet again!  I needed a creative time out from the kids and hubby, so I decided to play along with the MOJO384 challenge.  Have you played along yet?  Here is the Mojo Monday blog.  I grabbed some scraps of CTMH Snowhaven paper and got to work.  I have been wanting to create with A Happy Hello, the February 2015 Stamp of the Month.  Both the sentiment and the funky layered flower are from that stamp set. I also used some Teal Shimmer Trim, Black Glitter paper, Silver Sequins Assortment and some Baker's Twine to embellish my card.  Feel free to Pin my card on Pinterest or follow my blog so you don't miss any of my upcoming projects.  Thank you for looking!

An Amazing Creative Getaway

Yesterday I gave you a little taste of what was going on at the Simple Pleasures Papercrafting Retreat.  I had an amazing time with my fellow CTMH sisters.  A big thank you to Denise Sanner for allowing me to participate in this event!  I am completely exhausted from all of the creative fun, so I just wanted to share a quick photo of some of us showing off our She Art today.  We had to pack up and leave for home a little early in order to beat out the impending snow storm about to dump that foot of white stuff on us.  Anyway, here is that photo!
That is me all the way on the right, and somehow my mom, Elizabeth, is on the left.  Did I mention that she is also a Close To My Heart consultant?  That is right!  She is in on the fun.  Not only to we get to spend great time together at events like this, but we have even attended convention together in Disney.  Have an interest in finding out how to get in on the fun?  Just click here to learn more.

Simple Pleasures Papercrafting Retreat

Today I have the pleasure of spending time with my Close To My Heart sister consultants in Pennsylvania at the Simple Pleasures Papercrafting group retreat.  I can't begin to explain what an amazing time this event is.  Here are a few little projects that we are making with the Brushed paper pack today.  I created these little 3x3 cards and each lady made them.  I learned a lot too.  We have had a fabulous lesson in ShinHan markers, created She Art, made a mini album with Picture My Life cards, created scrapbook layouts and so much more.  I feel like I have met an amazing group of ladies that will now be my lifelong friends.
Would you love to participate in great events like this.  You can!  Please consider joining my team.  For only a $99 investment, you can select either a scrapbook or card kit, each with a value exceeding $370 dollars.  Not only will you be getting great products and supplies to help you build your dream projects for nearly 75% off retail, but most importantly, you will have the opportunity to participate in amazing events!  Don't miss out on the fun any longer.  Please feel free to click here and learn more about our consultant kits and opportunity.

CTMH This Moment and Brushed Paper Pack

I can't get enough of the January Stamp of the Month from CTMH, This Moment.  "LOVE notes" was stamped from that set.  I decided to use the CTMH Brushed paper pack too.  I ran that beautiful Pixie Pink and Candy patterned cardstock through my Cuttlebug with my CTMH Heart Embossing Folder.  The little paper flowers were cut using my CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge, layered and embellished with a Gold Glitter Gem.  I love the way the card turned out, it is so soft and sweet looking.  It isn't too late to get your own This Moment stamp set.  It can be yours for only $5 until the end of the month with a qualifying purchase.  Click here to begin shopping with me.

CTMH Heartstrings Layout featuring CTMH This Moment

It is a dreary day here, and I have been working on my class kits for this Saturday's crop all day.  I thought that I would take a break and share a layout that I just completed featuring the January Stamp of the month from CTMH called This Moment and this really fun CTMH Heartstrings paper pack.  I drew my inspiration for this layout from a Pinterest post from "twoscrapbookfriends".  I thought it would be fun to recreate it with CTMH products, including our exclusive CTMH Cricut Cartridges.  I added some Black Glitter Paper for the little heart and the "Smitten" title.  Most of my images were also stamped in Black for that unexpected contrast that might surprise you with this very romantic paper.  And did you notice the sweet embellishments?  They include Stuck On You Puffies and Pixie Extra Thick Twine to name a few.  I hope you enjoy this layout as much as I do!

CTMH Snowhaven Cards for the Joyful Stars Blog Hop January 2015

Welcome to the January Joyful Stars Blog Hop!  If you found your way here from Crystal's blog, you are on the right track.

I am so glad that you decided to stop by and see what I have been working on.  This month's entries all feature the vibrant CTMH Snowhaven paper pack.

This first card is made from one of our CTMH White Daisy Spin Cards.  I stamped the sayings, trees and snowflakes using the stampset from the CTMH Snowhaven Cardmaking Workshop On the Go.  The cute little Red Enamel Hearts came in that kit too, but can be purchased separately as well.  The snowflake elements on the spinner and the scalloped frame were cut from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, an oldie but goodie!
Next up is this stunning glacier and black floral card.  The floral overlay was cut using the CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge.  Some of our Gold Bling Gems and Black Striped Twill Ribbon complete this simple, yet impactful card.
The last little 3"x3" card was so fun to make.  I cut a 1.5"x3" strip off of the front my card.  It was this piece that I then turned sideways and attached the sentiment to.  That sentiment was stamped using one of my favorite stamp sets, Lovely Birthday.   That adorable little flower was also stamped from the same set using two different scraps of paper.  I pop dotted the layers and added a little Clear Sparkle.  Again, very easy and I love it.

Well that is it for this month's Joyful Stars Blog Hop.  Feel free to follow my blog if you want to keep up with all my crafty adventures.  Next on the hop is my very good friend, the talented Lori "Crafty Meadows".  Have fun hopping!

CTMH Year Noted + CTMH This Moment = Cards!

I managed to squeeze in a little more creative time after completing my last layout.  Remember that CTMH Year Noted paper pack and CTMH This Moment January Stamp of the Month?  Well, I had plenty of paper left over and I decided to create these 3 cards. A little strip of Gold Glitter paper punched with our Scallop Border Punch and a little Gold Polka Dot Washi Tape add the little bit of bling to make these cards pop.  The cute little hearts were cut using the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge and embossed with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.  I hope you like them!  I did have to add the 3 white card bases, but I still have cardstock left over to make something else with.
So stay tuned.

Layout Featuring CTMH January 2015 Specials

It is the beginning of 2015, and I am hoping to be a better blogger this year!  So I thought I would start you off with a project featuring 2 of this month's CTMH specials.

The "Year Noted" Kit features 6 - 12" x 12" pieces of cardstock, a ton of gold metal stickers and a stamp set all for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.  (You can add a My Creations Kraft Mini Album for just $5 more.)

I also used this adorable CTMH This Moment stamp set.  It too is just $5 in January with a qualifying purchase.

To create the layout I started by cutting apart one of my 12"x12" sheets to create the individual patterned pieces that are all approximately 4"x6".  I used the zip strips that are attached to the tops of all CTMH patterned cardstock as my accents.  I felt the kit needed an element to match those great metallic hearts that you see above, so I pulled out one of my favorite things from CTMH, our Glitter Paper.  I used the gold sheet from our brown assortment and cut out the "Capture the Details" title with our CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  I also cut strips and edged them with our Scalloped Border Punch.  The cute little heart overlay was also cut from my Artbooking.

Joyful Hearts Blog Hop for December 2014

Welcome to my blog and the Joyful Stars blog hop for December 2014.  If you landed here from Cindy's blog, you are on the right path.

This month I have a very easy layout to share with you.  My background papers are from a CTMH paper pack called Yuletide.  Do you see the cranberry garland element on the left side of the layout?  It is actually a card cut from our new CTMH Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge!  The inside of the card made a great spot to create a 5"x7" photo mat.  Clever, right???  I also created 2 - 4"x6" photo mats out of cranberry cardstock for the right side of my layout.  A little Cranberry Striped Twill Ribbon for the bows and a Gold Bling Gem on the little envelope on the right side of the layout add just the right embellishment.  And as for that little envelope and all of the other little pieces of artwork and saying cards are just a sampling of what you will receive inside a package of My Crush Holiday Happenings Assortment.  I love taking items, like the My Crush, and creating something unexpected with them, such as this traditional layout.

I hope that you have enjoyed your time at my blog for this month's hop.  Please hop on back to Joyce's blog to see her amazing artwork.  See you next month!

CTMH Artfully Sent Candy Corn Kisses Layout

I had to come up with a quick and easy layout to teach at a crop on Saturday, and I really wanted to show my group of scrapbookers that the new CTMH Artfully Sent cartridge was for so much more than cardmaking.  I decided to include 3 different elements from the cartridge.  The "Candy Corn Kisses" element is actually made from a card, and I decided to use only the front of it as my title.  The "Eat, Drink and be Scary" element is actually a pocket card element that I decided to use other than in a PL or PML application.  Lastly, the spooky tree was just one of the countless images included on the new cartridge for our cutting enjoyment.  A little CTMH Silver Geometric Washi Tape and some Silver Sequins give some finishing touches. I should also mention that this layout features some long retired CTMH paper, as I have this in bulk and decided it would be a perfect background to the Artfully Sent elements.  Never stop looking at your images in different ways.  You never know what you might come up with!

Artfully Sent Baby Shower for the October Joyful Stars Blog Hop

Welcome to the Joyful Stars Blog Hop for October.  If you have come here from Jolene's blog, you are on the right track.  Today's projects are from the new CTMH Artfully sent cartridge.  I made these cards for my cousins' baby shower last weekend.  They are both expecting baby girls.  I started with the same card base, but made them a little different.  The flowers were cut from the original CTMH cartridge, Art Philosophy.  They were so fun to create, and they were a huge hit with all the ladies attending the baby shower.

I hope you enjoy the cards.  Now it's time to hop along to the very talented Nancy's blog.
